Benjamin Bramsen, DVM

Dr. Ben, a native of Solvang, founded Oak Leaf Equine in 2008. He is a graduate of  Colorado State University and a former partner at Specifically Equine Veterinary Service in Buellton. During his 15 plus years there, Dr. Ben provided ambulatory and in-patient medical care in addition to surgery and breeding/foaling services. Those years of experience have enabled him to better evaluate and treat, or refer, patients to provide the best quality of care for his patients.

Alicia grew up in Ventura, CA and moved to the valley in 1999. She began working with Dr. Ben at that time at Specifically Equine, mainly in the office. Alicia earned her B.S. in Ecology and Evolution at UC Santa Barbara. When she's not running the office, she enjoys researching and teaching genealogy with the Santa Barbara County Genealogical Society. She can also be found hiking, birding, or just walking around town with her office assistant, Penny.
